MAINTENANCE LOGIC

This is how we think about vehicle care, service timing, and the standards that guide our decisions.

At Oil Change Zim, maintenance should be honest, practical, and vehicle-specific. We do not believe in following generic schedules blindly when the real car in front of us is telling a different story.

The correct oil, correct fluid, and correct parts matter more than shortcuts. We focus on protecting the vehicle properly and explaining our recommendations with clarity.

Long-term trust matters more than one-off service sales.

01

Engine Oil & Filters

Every 10,000 km or 6 months

We do not follow standard A, B, or C service schedules. Zimbabwe conditions are harder on filters than generic schedules assume.

Dust, harsh driving conditions, and frequent short trips mean the air filter and cabin air filter can degrade much faster than the oil filter. That is why every engine oil service includes engine oil, oil filter, air filter, and cabin air filter.

02

Gearbox / Transmission Oil

Every 30,000 km or 2 years

Gearboxes are sensitive to fluid condition. Old or incorrect fluid can cause expensive damage, poor shifting, and avoidable wear.

We use the correct fluid for the specific vehicle and treat regular gearbox oil changes as part of long-term vehicle protection, not an optional extra.

03

Denso Spark Plugs

100,000 km or inspect at 5 years

Spark plugs are not only about mileage. Heat cycles, oxidation, and carbon buildup can affect them even when the car has not covered high distance.

That is why we think in terms of both mileage and time. If mileage is low, the service logic still has to consider age and removal risk.

04

Inspection & Fluid Top-up

Visual inspections and fluid checks help catch small issues before they become expensive or inconvenient.

This part of the work supports consistency. It helps you get a clearer picture of your car's condition and makes our recommendations easier to understand.

Integrity

We recommend what the car needs, not what sounds impressive.

Transparency

We explain what should be done now, what can wait, and why.

Consistency

We don't promise your oil will last forever. We promise we'll be there when it's time again.
